Doctors who lost their lives in Covid-19

As we know the whole world is trapped in a blind tunnel named Covid-19. This pandemic is upending at global level and we all are caught in our homes. Streets are lonely, offices ,schools , universities are closed, everything is at its ends.In this terrifying situation ,Doctors and nurses are serving 24-7 to corona patients. They are the front line and first of contact in patients health care , isolating themselves from their families ,risking their own lives , many have also volunteered their services to raise awareness and made themselves available to answer any concerns of the civilians.

The list of the sleep-deprived heroes includes doctors, nurses, medical cleaners, pathologists, paramedics, ambulance drivers, and health-care administrators. In the fight against coronavirus, the brave medical army stands strong with thermometers, stethoscopes, and ventilators as their weapons

Dr. Mamoona Rana ,UKs first female Pakistani doctor who died fighting corona saving others.The female doctor ,48, was originally from Lahore and lived in East London with her husband Dr Azeem Qureshi , and their 8 years old daughter. She passed away on April 16.        

Dr.Li Wenliang ,an Ophthalmologist from China ,who tried to warn his fellow practitioners about the potential outbreak of virus.The NYT reported that on January 10,2020 Dr. Li developed a cough after having treated a woman for glaucoma who had unknowingly been infected with the corona virus.

The 34-year-old eye specialist, in his Weibo story, revealed how he had come down with cough and fever after a month of his warning going unnoticed.The doctor had contracted the virus while treating a glaucoma case (suffering from corona virus) in Wuhan. Dr. Li passed away on February 7, 2020 leaving the people in China and worldwide grieving and angry. Another doctor who died of the disease in Wuhan was just 29 years old

Dr.Roberto Stella from italy ,aged 67,was an italian practitioner who died on March 10 at Como Hospital.He died of respiratory failure due to corona virus. like other heroes he contracted virus while actively taking care of the patients and guiding them on proper care.

Dr. Jean Jacques from France , was the first French doctor who died while treating corona patients. The 68-year-old retired doctor was working in an emergency ward at the Lille Universal Hospital where he caught the disease.

Dr. Usama Riaz from Pakistan, a young 26-year-old , became the first Pakistani doctor to die of corona virus. He remained at the forefront, screening people returning from abroad from the Pakistan-Iran border at a hospital in Gilgit-Baltistan where he contracted the virus.He was rushed to the Hospital and was put on a ventilator but could not make it.

Dr. Adil El Tayar from UK, became the first frontline health care worker to die of corona virus on March 25.The organ transplant consultant was working St.Marys and St.Georges Hospitals in London when he contracted the virus and lost his life.

Dr.Shatrughan Panjwani from India, a general physician also died of corona virus.

Dr.Shirin Rouhani from Iran, she also lost her life while devoting herself to save lives ,treating corona patients.Her determination and will power was such that she continued to treat patients until her last breathe even when she herself was on IV. She knew she could not rest because of shortage of doctors.

150 doctors died of corona virus in Italy ,68 in Egypt, almost 500 doctors in Russia and many other heroes we are losing just because of this virus.

Today the worldwide tally records 8 million confirmed cases of corona patients with 434K deaths all over the world . Covid-19 is affecting 213 countries and territories around the world and there is no telling what could happen in future.Doctors are serving willingly to corona patients, no matter our colour , ages ,backgrounds ,they are treating us risking their own lives on  the brink of death.
